Why do I mod my car.........because we are supposed to..........man has done it since the first one rolled off the line...........over 100 years ago.

 

because i'm a car guy and thats what car guys do. its not a matter of logic...its a hormonal thing.

 

Because when I drive my tc down the road and have people looking at my car and admiring it, i get satisfaction out of the work i've done. Especially since this is my first car and I've dreamed about doing this since i was a kid.

 

I don't. My tC is almost completely stock with just a few factory options.

 

i'm in the AAA 10 step program to quit modding my cars, & so far my tC's remained mostly stock....

...it's just a matter of time b4 I end up giving in again to tiny voice in my head.

because i like playing with stuff. i can't leave anything alone. it's a hobby and habit of mine. but it like it.

 

I like the body style of the tC over other vehicles and decided to modify the vehicle. very simple.

 

Because chicks dig it!!! lol jk, my girlfriend might be reading this.
Because it feels good when people tell you that you have a nice/sick/sexy ride. Especially when a police officer stops his cruiser and say "is that a scion?.... nice car"
I just keep it simple and clean.

 

Because even when you move up to a car that costs $12k more, you're still going to end up modding it.

I like the fact that I can go down the road, and be identified by anybody who knows me. So far, I haven't done anything big enough to the Audi to cause that though.

I like it and it keeps me interested in my car. Remember when you were younger and you had a toy and played with it for a few days nonstop then all of the sudden you were like "this is dumb" and maybe played with it once a year after that? well its something like that.

 

well it's pretty much a family run operation.

It starts out when a family member notices a modder's conversation at somepoint veers to random outbursts about vehicle stats, facts, & potential 'improvements' that they know. The modder will fail to notice the other person's glaze over or

The table & desk are noticed, covered in used manuals & magazine howto articles. Attempts to intervene at this point are often met with denial & coercion by the modder to leave it a 'lil' while longer.

Finally, there's an intervention, early Sunday morning ... after the modder's been workin on their car from morning til night, drinkin all day & eatin fast food ...

Friends & family surround the modder, to convince 'em to go cold turkey, & that stock is 'good enuf' They buy the modder a AAA membership & tell them, "See U dont even have to be alone when U beakdown; just call the (sponser) number & they will rescue U & take your car to a shop, to tell U if it needs work."

 

Becuase I can't afford an Aston Martin DBS!
