Default Keeping Stock Parts

Sup guys! Does anybody know if you get aftermarket parts from Toyota/Scion dealerships, would you be able to keep the stock parts? For example, I'm planning to get the TRD springs and shocks, TRD exhaust & Hotchkis strut bar at the dealership and also getting installed there...would I be able to keep my stock parts that they replaced? Same goes with the 17" stock wheels...what if I decided to upgrade my wheels to 18" wheels that they offer...would I be able to keep the 17" wheels? I know some of those parts can be installed by yourself but I don't know much about installing car parts and plus I don't want to ruin the warranty that they offer. So I don't prefer installing the parts from a local auto shop.

You can but you usually have to ask them or they'll keep them. I got the TRD springs and kept my stocks. If you're getting this stuff put on as you buy the car probably not but if you have the car already and are going back to get them just ask for your originals back, they can't say no.

I'm having the TRD springs/strut/shocks and swaybar installed. I asked the dealer for the old parts and he said he would have them boxed-up for me when I take delivery of the car.

I was told at the dealership I went to that I would be able to at least keep the stock rims if I got the 18's so I'm assuming that includes other things as well. He also said that they've included other mods that aren't offered by them into the deal. I guess the wrote up some guys $6700 radio system into the deal as an "option". I'm going to be looking for a nice set of lightweight 18's and summer tires when I get my tc...just can't decide on color...silver or white

ok

are you asking us in the form of buying your scion with factory upgrades thus making the upgrades the originals?

or are you asking us that you already have a SCION and want to buy parts and have then installed at the dealer?

if your asking bout the 1st one.. obvious no.

if your asking bout the 2nd one, then yes because you paid for the original parts + the new parts.

If you order the car with the parts on it already, that is.

If you order a part, then go in to get it installed, there's no way they can steal your original part, unless they pay you money for the part--much like a 'core charge.'
Shady dealerships may tell you different.

Why don't you just install all that stuff yourself and save yourself $400?

A Saturday afternoon and 3-4 hours and you can have it all done.

You are entitled to your stock rims no matter what the dealership may tell you.

Your stock rims are part of the $16,515 MSRP. If you upgrade to the 18's you still end up paying for the 17's, so they're still yours.

Thank you guys for the feedback! As for hahaitzskippy's question...the answer is no I don't have a TC yet...I'm planning to get one this coming summer. I think when I get my TC...I'll get it completely stock and just get the upgrades I want later on, so I can be able to keep my stock parts. Thanks again guys!
