Default keyless remote entry wont work anymore

so i cant open or lock my car with the key buttons. I have to stand really close to my car and press the buttons several times. Do you guys know if its a dying battery inside the key, or is the sensor in my car messed up? Anyone else experience this?

look in your owners manual its in there, I think its just a watch battery but u need to look in the manual to figure out the size and also how to take the key apart. Anywhere that sells batteries probably has it like radio shack or anyplace like that.

If by "tiny" you mean "the size of a nickel", then yeah, the 2016 is tiny.

Hmm...I would say more like an extremely thin quarter.

But I really mean tiny from a capacity standpoint. The 2016 will not last very long, I give it 3 years to a person that doesn't use it a lot.

Oh, in terms of capacity, I agree with you 100%-- I've had my tC for just under 2 years, and I'm on my third key battery. My guess is that in average hands, it will last about 9-10 months.
