Does anyone know how to remove the Knee Airbag from 2006 tc? I was wondering if I need to pull the dash or i can just do it from right below. I've searched but no luck, please any help is appreciated!!

 

im not positive but i think you could prob just do it from below.

 

^^ when you pulled your dash was it connected?

 

looked to me like it would all come out from below when I had mine apart,as far as I could tell it was not connected tot he upper dash.

 

^^ hmm im gonna try to pull it out, can the airbag deploy if the battery is disonnected?

 

the dash only goes halfway down, you can see the link. basically its goes down to where the glove box is.

when your messing with airbags its recommended that you disconnect the battery and wait about 30 mins before starting, but it shouldnt go off because airbags are based on velocimeters and since the car wont be moving...

Did you have any luck on removing the knee airbag? I am trying to pull the entire dash and its giving me some trouble.

 

the dash is apain to get out,there are clips by the windshield that make it tough to get off,and if I remember there was screws under it,been over ayear since i pulled mine.....there is a link with diagram where all the screws are on here somewhere.

 

I got the upper dash... that's easy. I was just trying to get the lower section of the dash.

My biggest concern was if they airbag was actually attached to the car or the dash. It is attached to the dash, so once it was removed, the whole thing slid out.

 

Yeah we were able to remove all the airbags successfully out of the car. Scary process haha
