Default Let the GF drive the TC, she forgot to match rev

down shifting from 3rd to 2nd she forgot to match rev. Wasn't a hard shudder or anything, but hearing the engine jump from 2500 RPM to 4500 RPM almost made me cry

Wont be letting anybody drive any of my cars ever again.

4500, that is nothing. When my car had like 30 miles on it, I was not used to the powerband going up so fast it was over 6000 before I shifted.

there is really not a need to match the rev's downshifting. if anything you use the clutch more when doing so. of course, i still do it when i drive a car that is stick. :D

Transmissions have syncros for just such a "disaster".

I would say the biggest reason to do so is to maintain smoothness and weight distribution.

he's right man... that'a only 2000rpms. i went from 2000 to 6000 in my IS when i mis-shifted (5th to 2nd!!! wanted to go to fourth) once on the highway... =p i know, it's retarded, but the IS tranny is a little offset so fifth looks like it's in third...

anyway, just don't have your gf KEEP doing that.
