These low weight batteries are best for rear wheel drive cars anyways. I actually re-located a light weight battery (odyseey) to the trunk of my saleen. I shaved off 32 lbs but I took 50lbs off the front and added 14 over the rear tires which helped with launch. In front wheel, yes u are reducing the overall weigh but taking off weight where it is needed for traction. Overall should make the car faster but not as productive as in a rear wheel drive.

Nice battery by the way. To expensive. I got mint for $119. By the way what are the CCA on that battery?

the weight of the engine should be enough to give it traction. and plus i scoot up my seat before i drag. u mean to say the 25 lb reduction from a lighter battery will cause you to loose traction on a FWD car? 25 lbs is nothing compared to how much the engine weighs. i think its a good reduction overall and should help u pick up speed quicker (includes all the other weight reduction mods). and sticky tires should help too. but it all boils down to the driver. if u dont know how to launch a FWD car it doesnt matter how much weight you put towards the front of the vehicle. ull just waste ur time spinning out at the starting line.

If NY winters didn't drop down into the negative double digits, I'd probably do this.

Just so every one knows, i bought the 11.5 braille battery and its been on the car for a good 10 months of everyday driving and abuse of an 800 watt audio system with no problems whatsoever. I'll try to post a pic soon.
