Default Lip Kit vs Wide Body Kit

So I have been searching for a new lip kit or wide body kit for my TC. I was just curious but which is better to buy ? A simple lip kit or the actual whole bumper kits ?

Most people here will tell you that a lip kit is better. There are many reasons, mostly because it gives the car a cleaner, less ricer look. Second, bodykits take a lot of work. You aren't going to get some bumper that fits perfect without work (I.E. bondo etc). Thirdly, I believe that lip kits are cheaper. THey're just a lot more hassle free, all you gotta do is paint them

Racing Solution is a good site to start for new lip kits. I got my full RS1 from there for only $300 (pick up).

Other then that, you could check out the classified section here and at other scion sites for used kits.

Body kits take alot of time and money to get pulled off nicely. Lips kits are alot cheaper and give your car a cleaner appearance

one thing to consider. Is this car your daily?

Most cars that I have seen that have aftermarker body kits looks like garbage being driven on the road on a daily basis with snow salt etc after about 2 years. Then you have to deal with what happens when you get into an accident and your widebody kit is damaged you cant take it just anywhere has to be in the right hands.

Is this is your show car only then it will def score you some points at car shows.

Wide body kits are a LOT of work. Most kinda look like garbage. But it mostly depends on what you, the consumer wants and what your budget will allow for. Their are also normal bumpers for the tC that aren't widebody, but look different then that of stock. Plus if you don't have aftermarket wheels, or ones that aren't wide enough, a wide body will look like garbage.
