I know it sucks right now having parents, and some times (or all the time at your age, lol) they can be a real PITA, but just you wait till you become successful in life and can buy your own stuff. Feels good to not have to ask for help, or ask for permission for anything.

All the stuff I wanted to do as a kid that I wasn't allowed to, I did it all when I was grown enough to. Without him.

Lots of people have it worse than you but i'm sure that isn't much comfort... like I said you have alot of time to prove yourself to yourself and your dad. My dads kicking himself in the **** right now for not spending more time with me when I was young... he lost out. And better luck next time doesn't quite apply.

Your day will come my good man!

I admire your wanting to hook a car up and all.. but, you seem to have family issues and post about it quite often. IF I were you, Id stop throwing money away on a car that IS NOT YOURS, it doesnt matter if your "supposed" to get the car or not when he gets a new one, or when you can drive... Your really ____ing money away. And not like me, or most everyone else on here.. you are hooking up a car that IS NOT YOURS....

Your father is right. You know, when I was your age, I ALWAYS thought my parents were wrong, didnt want things in the best interest of my future and were just plain mean... Years go by, and you realize.. hey.. they WERE right. I dumped so much money into a porsche 944 it wasnt funny. Now that I have a really good job, it doesnt matter as much, but that money would of paid for a HUGE part of my first house, I had over $20k in that car.. and could only get $5k for it when it sold because of the age of the car, the cost of ownership (no one works on porsche's for less than $90 an hour) and reliability.

Why dont you guys just drive the car, and ENJOY it as is? How much enjoyment do you get out of arguing with your parents over all this, is it worth it? Because you know.. seriously, your parents are right, you just dont want to accept that fact.

Why dont you take a break from modding for a little.. See if it makes things EASIER in the house, with less tension. Maybe take a 2-3 month break. Play some xbox 360 or something. Just stop throwing money away on a car that isnt yours quite yet.

Your a highly motivated young guy, and Id hate to see you get discouraged from what you like.. but sometimes you really have to think with your head, and not with your "I want this, I want that". When you get older, there is plenty of time for that, and its EASIER.

Good luck little man.

Thats a different story... you can't use his CC without asking, lol.

I'd sock my sons head off if he used my cc, especially 150 bucks. I'd make him work it off doing womanly duties around the house for the tune of maybe $5 an hour. See how long it took him to get to $150

i was born in modesto CA and grew up in LA and my mom raised me. my dad still lives in downey california and the only thing i ever got out of him was a 19 inch tv with a vcr lol. the last time i saw him was when i was 14 and asked him for a game boy and he said no. i havent talked to him since. sometimes i wonder if he ever thinks about his 1st born but i could careless.

Also not to sound like a jerk maybe next time you and your dad have a confrentation try and stay strong and not cry. show him that it does not hurt you. some people get a rush or feel better about themselves when they hurt someone close to them.

when i was 13 or 14, i'm guessing around middle/high school, i was forced by my parents to take classes outside of school for SATs and headstarts on certain subjects that i did decently well in already, piano, violin, orchestras, swimming, and the list goes on (yeah asian parents), and no, i didn't enjoy doing any of it, hence why i quit everything once i started college. after all that do i have time to do anything i like? no. i'm gona admit i had no life, and working on a car was an idea from another planet.
a lot of people go through the same ish, just to different degree. suck it up for now, and you'll appreciate freedom that much more once you get it .

This is going to come off as rude, and for that I apologize, but... Grow up.

Life is going to hand you a lot of lemons. And I do mean a LOT. A big part of being an adult is how we handle it.

Because quitting is for losers

Quit modding the car, sure... but why quit coming to SL? If it makes you happy and gives you a place to go besides your closet, no reason to stop.

cause i have a lil brother that is 13 and he is just as passionate as you are for cars. he is getting my car also when he turns 16. scionlife is scionlife dont let it get to you. its good to vent every once in a while instead of just holding it in. maybe next time pm a couple of people that you are familiar with or fell comfortable talking to on here instead of telling the general public and getting other responses that put you down even more.
