Default Looking for audio help....

Hello everyone, I am new here to the forums. I am not a Scion owner, but I own a Toyota Tacoma. I have been able to get my hands on a 2008 Scion head unit (t180, which is plug and play into my Toyota, but I just have to get a head unit install kit for double din (scion unit will work with some slight mods). I am looking here to you guys for help. I am wanting to hook up both the iPod plug and Aux In plug that comes standard in the Scions. I know that the cable from the iPod to the consoler, and the pods and cables that run from the console to the factory harness in the Scion can be had also (I assume). The only cable that I need to get is the cable in the factory harness (from rear of head unit to ipod and aux adapter cable?). I am not 100% sure if my information is correct, but I am trying to find part numbers for these cables, members who may be changing them out for something other option, etc. So, I need

HU to iPod connection (i know no part number, will try to get one from junkyard)
iPod cable from HU to iPod cable from console
Aux from back of HU to aux plug in console (or is this together with the iPod console plug?)
iPod to console plug.

As I said, I know that two of the three iPod plugs can be bought, but I also want to be able to use the factory aux input that came in the Scions. ANY help is greatly appreciated (members wishing to sell, part numbers, etc). Thanks in advance!

Anyone??

As I said, any help people can give me is much appreciated. Hoping someone can get me part numbers (as the closest scion dealer to me is 45 minutes) or is looking to upgrade to aftermarket and is getting rid of stock setups....

Let me know guys!

Thanks!

Ask your dealer, it comes with the upgraded ipod stereo and the dealer installs it. If your deck isn't the upgraded ipod deck then that ipod jack won't do jack, if you know what I mean.

I would ask the dealer, but there isn't one within 35 miles of me, and plus the head unit is not going into a Scion, its going into a Tacoma. So it would be hard for me to go to a dealer about it. I did contact trdsparks.com, hoping to hear back from them. Thanks for the replys, just hoping to get some part numbers so I can get the harnesses for the iPod and Aux. If not, I will just have to use my DF-TOY as the Aux, and then get the ebay iPod cable that goes right from the head unit to the iPod. I really wanted the pods though so I could plug more things into the Aux since my DF-TOY is not easily accesible. Any more help is definately appreciated, along with the already provided help. Thanks guys!

Let's see a pic of the front of the radio, cause if its not the ipod deck then the ipod cable will do nothing for you.

OK, then you are good. Call any Scion dealer and they should be able to help you out.

Thanks, I think I am just going to get on ebay and get the iPod interface cable that goes right from the back of the head unit to the iPod, and use my DF-TOY for the sat radio input.

Brings me to my next question...Does the t1808 have speed sensitive volume? If it does, does anyone know the pin in the stereo plug this goes to? It is not hooked up in a tacoma, but I am pretty sure that I can hook it up with tapping the vehicle speed sensor wire. Again, thanks in advance, and help is appreciated.

*Bump* Did you for real never find the chord for JUST the aux input. I find this extremely ridiculous that it is near impossible to find this freaking chord. I've called the dealer and the guy says all he can find is the iPod cable upgrade but not the aux cable. It's starting to tick me off. I don't care about hooking up my iPod. I just need the aux cable from HU to 3.5mm jack. Thanks.

Good thing I don't care what you think. What's the point in responding if you don't have an answer. Get lost.
