Personally, I love the '08 grille. But then, I'm a new tC owner and don't usually care what other people think.

 

Well we get all the bash cause most of these guys have the old one were merely 2 % of the memberlist right now that have the 08. and like most of them hated all of the changes in different aspects of it. I say oh well. I still love it, they are not the ones driving it anyway, like I care. Try puting 98 people that have an ipod and put 2 people that have the iphone all of the ipod guys will say I love my ipod your iphone is like crap so majority wins right (but deep inside them they dream about having it every night that's all I put in my mind . ) It's human nature and it's inevitable. I might have this topic for my psychology thesis hmmm.

very deep man, very deep, but i think your overanalyzing. Even though I like some of the new changes, I have to agree with everyone else in saying that the new grill is just ugly.

Scion wanted the same grille across the Scion lineup. That's why they put it on all the cars. Don't ask me why they did that!

 

I agree that the new "bubble" look grill just doesn't match any other design features on the whole car. It's not neccessarily that bad looking, It's looks just doesn't belong on the tC IMO. Maybe it would look more appropriate on a car with more circles and curves in it's style.
I'd rather have a grill that's almost invisible (very fine black mesh?), and more inset in the opening, making the Scion emblem float within the opening, as what some Mustangs had with their front grille and horse emblem.

I'm not a fan of the upper stock grille. I like the 07 stock grille.

 

I too do not favor the '08 grill.............not because of the holes.................but because of the fact the lower grill does not match..............but with my SCM color ,a aftermarket grill in anything other than gunmetal will look tacky.......................maybee with new rims I amy go after market to mate it around the body................sometimes subtle is better.........

I don't like any of the grilles; 2005-2008. With the exception of the RS grilles.

 

i personallly think the 08 grille looks like s#%*, the top and the bottom dont even match up thats terrible....i have an 06 and switched out to a Figure LLC upper and lower grille and LOVE IT

 

I don't like the new grille or the old grill, but I do my RS1 Grill.
