Default Lowering my tC?! Gotta think twice >.<

I just got my first HUGE ding and dent on my beloved tC. When I was exiting my school's parking lot, you know some parking lot have a HUGE trench right at the exit, in-between the parking lot and traffic road. When I was exiting, my tC front bumper hit right on the floor, created this HUGE dingS and dentS under my car front bumer

I wasnt going fast when exiting the parking lot, I dont deserve THIS!

yes you do. when you're coming in and out of exits/entrances try to enter at an angle. my driveway is kinda steeper coming in from the road and on my dads taurus it always scratches the bumper if you dont go in at an angle.

if this is the road

ur car should probably enter at a 45 degree angle so it hits the front left or right tire first so it doesnt dent ur tC.

Yea I know what u mean completely, but the worst thing is that, I have tried 45 degree myself when I was exiting again, it still almost hit my left side of the front bumper...i could hear a little scratchy sound...urgh!

Hey Eiso, on a slightly random note, do you have any pics of your car? I really want to see a black tC with TRD wheels. If you can post one, or pm me with a link if you don't want to post on the forum, I would really appreciate it

I know how you feel. I've only been driving for about two years (I'm on my second year). The first car I had was a 1992 BMW 325i. It was a good training car. I got lots of dings and dents in it and didn't really care. But now with the Scion, I've become neurotic. I've been having nightmares about shopping carts chasing my car and stupid people hitting my car with their doors, etc. I park way out in the lparking lots where no one else parks and hike the extra bit.

I did two incredibly STUPID things today - which I'll never do again. I pulled up too close to one of those concrete parking blocks and scraped the plastic piece a little (enough to make my stomach turn over when I did it) because I pulled too much forward. I'm not used to the dimensions yet - it's much different than the BMW. THEN, when I went to the drive through jeanie - I opened my door just a little and had to stick my head out the window to put my card in and accidentally hit the door edge against one of the posts. I nearly hurled. I was terrified about the damage so I made my friend get out and look and luckily - NOT A SCRACH under the front bumper or on the door!! I know better next time though!
