mail man backed right into my SW TC!!!!
I was sitting in my car waiting for my g/f to get breakfast. then i noticed a white truck backing up
thinking nothing of it being that its the post office. thinking they know how to drive since thats what they do alot of. as i look the other way i noticed a glare and look to my left and saw a tail light right over my hood and BANG!!! he smacks right into me. cracked my headlight, pushed in the front fender and pushed in the bumper all on the drivers front.
so now my car is mangled. such a bad morning ill post pics when i get home
Speaking from the a mailman's point-of-view, that mailman is screwed.
Mailmen are supposedto do everytning in thier power to avoid backing up.
You get in a wreck, you're in trouble. You get in a wreck backing up, you're f'd.
At least it's the goverment though.
Got whiplash?

Sue happy jackholes!
You should be reimbursed for your vehicle and nothing more.
I do hope that is sarcasm about lawsuits.
Waaa Waaaa I hurt my neck.
No, your car did get hurt though and they will easily pay for that. No worries there.
Sorry to hear about your tC.

Don't blame the mailman all that much? Sure let's blame the guy in the tC for being where he was when he was, for not moving, for not have huge signs around his car letting people know not to back up into it. Driving is driving, whether you are a mailman, civilian, officer, etc. You are either driving or thinking or doing something else other than driving. If you do the physics low impact collisions from the rear cause a bit more damage then people think. Reason being the impulse force travels through the car on impact and the driver feel a percentage of that force. It will hurt. If you feel you want to be one of those persons who sues, I’d say do it, and get a person with a PHD in physics to prove the low impact collision still causes quite a bit of pain. My $.02.
Looks like you Uncle Sam will be paying for your repairs.
Don't sue if you were not actually hurt.
But don't sign a waiver for a couple of weeks, in case you have injuries.
Good Luck.

I dont think the post office is part of the government... they are goverment subsidized I believe. Even still, sucks that your tC got banged up. Be careful with what you do, karma is a _____... If you're hurt for real, go for it, but otherwise, remember that Karma is a boomerang, do you want to catch it when its razor sharp?
The post office is a government entity... but part of the problem in this country is the people that sue too much. The poor guy made a mistake... ask for fair compensation and that is it. (Not assuming you were going to sue, just wanted to say my part)

i agree 100% i have no intention to sue anyone. i got out of the car more worried about my hids then the car itself. i know it can be fixed by insurance but as far as the hids.. no way will the insurance cover that. but hey accidents do happen and hopefully itll be fixed soon!
