Yea so i when the light came on i figured it was just time for an oil change.... so after changing it with Royal Purple and K&N air filter myself, the light did not turn off...

My mileage is 101,xxx so is there some 100k routine maintenance that i need to do? why is this light still on?

Do you have your manual? If so, read it. Or you could find this in a Search (see my sig on how to effectively search here).

Otherwise... here you go:

The light does not turn off on its own. It is simply an idiot light set to go off at a preprogrammed interval (blink 5 times at 4500 miles from last reset, then stay on 5000 miles after last reset).

To reset the light...

1) Make sure your ODO is on the ODO option.
2) Turn key to OFF.
3) Hold in the ODO button and turn key to ON position.
4) Continue to hold ODO button and you should see "- - - - -" and they will blink and start counting down.
5) Release ODO button when they get to 0s.

Done.

And I'm going to lock this before you get flamed to all hell.
