Mait Req Light?
Ok,
Started up the tc the other day and my mait req light was flashing, (it has 42,xxx miles, scheduled for a oil change at 45.) which the oil change before my light didnt come on 500 miles prior to the change. so i thought it was nothing.
now everytime i turn on my car it flashes, until today now it wont go off. i contacted my delarship at 8:30am left a message on some guys voice mail i was transfered to after i asked for mait. department and now its 3:20 with no return call? any suggestions or whatnot what may be up? just a regular 45,xxx check up? or what not i mean its runnin fine i looked under the hood and everything is good so/???
thanks

All it does is remind you of the interval from the last time it was reset. So it starts blinking at 4500 miles since the last reset. Then stays on at 5000 miles since the last reset. So if your oil was changed and the light wasn't on/reset, it is now coming on.
However... the default interval for the light can be changed (to 3000, 4000, whatever). But there should really be no need to change it. Sounds like your oil changes and maintenance light are just out of sync.
Reset:
- make sure ODO is set to ODO (and not one of the Trips)
- hold ODO button and turn key to ON position (but do not start)
- you'll see " - - - - - " on the screen and they will start going away.
- when they're gone, release the button
Maint Req light off.

lol i knew i was gong to get flagged for asking but i was just makin sure that it wasnt something different, i just reset it and its all good. i thought it was going to be the 4500 mile marker but it seemed way to long after. plus would it come on for a 45xxx check up?
nah it's cool. I'm just trolling around the boards trying to sell some parts and get a question answered that I need answered and I ran into the internet slang of PROTIP and I felt like using it to pop my PROTIP cherry.
PROTIP: you can never overuse PROTIP
