Default Missing my o2 Sensor

Ok, here's the deal. I went and had my new DC Sports header installed yesterday. Everything was fine until they tried to get the o2 sensor off. They said it seemed as if it was cross threaded on. They said that they would try and get it off Monday because they were closed on Sundays. They put an insert in place of it until then.

Everything was fine on the way home, which is like 40 minutes away, until I was about 10 minutes from home when all of a sudden, I hear what sounds like a helicopter in my engine bay. I pulled over, and come to find out, the insert that was supposedly screwed in had blown out. It is loud and obnoxious and I want to know if anyone knows of a quick fix for this that I can do so I can drive to town without the embarassment of having a new looking car that sounds like I just got it from the junk yard. Thanks.

First of all you shouldn't be driving without that sensor. That is the air fuel sensor. They should never have let you even start the car without it .

Screw an old spark plug in the hole and go to the shop.

back in the day when I had my 93 Civic, I broke the sensor trying to unscrew it.

I drove with out one for 2.5 months. I only had some old one laying around that i only used to plug up the hole.

Car ran fine. I even raced it at the track once. It only puts your ECU into Open Loop mode, that makes the ECU kick out a preset A/F ratio at all times.

DALLAS JUST GOT AN INTERCEPTION AND BROUGHT IT TO THE 30 YARD LINE!!!! WOOT!

EDIT: I had the TV on mute, turns out it was only a Punt Return, LOL
