Modding a leased car
Who here has done it and what are you able to get away with?
I know a leased car isn't technically "yours". But I was just wondering what is allowed, if anything.
If I did some sort of mod and then bring my car in for service would I get yelled at?
I'd like to know before I call a dealership to ask and they just laugh at me.

I dont think it would be a smart thing to do. It's almost like your borrowing your friends car tricking it out and giving it back to him, basically it will look nice the time you have it, but once you give it back.....it's gone and so is the money you put into it.
So IMO, Don't do it, or just don't lease and buy it.

if you know how to work on the car yourself, go for it. The reason i say this is, when you turn the car back in when the lease is up...you MUST put the stock parts back on and back on perfectly because they will do a full inspection of the car and if something is messed up...you're payin out yer butt

That's the answer I'm looking for though. Like, can you do whatever you want just as long as it looks and performs exactly how it should stock when you turn it back in?
