im new so go easy on me lol... today I was driving down the interstate and I looked up and my moon roof was shaking a little I just wanted to know if anyone else's moon roof was doing the same and if I should be concerned im just worried that its just going to snap off or bust

well brian, i need a bit more info. was it open or closed? are you talking about the blind or the glass? was the blind closed? was the blind open and the glass open to the point it opens when you take your finger off the switch and it opens about 70% or did you hold the switch til it was all the way open?

too many unanswered questions for me to give an informed response. i'm not being facetious.

 

first is it the moonroof (back part) or the sunroof (front one that opens and closes)? If it's the sunroof...most likely it was open all the way and ur not supposed to have it all the way open when driving at speeds above 50 mph...that's why there's 3 different stops when u use the automatic opener...it works better and doesn't shake at halfway open. It's all in ur manual too i believe

 

This is normal, or so I have been told by the dealer. In any case, it is unavoidable. It's a movable panel above the car and is subject to the effects of the air rushing over it at a speed faster than the air underneath it. Everything is tight as can be on mine and it you can see it moving at 30mph and up.

 

well its is the sun roof and i did have it open all the way and i was going about 65mph and you know now that i think about it, it is just a sheet of glass and it is at an angle and i was going 65 so i guess its pretty obvious that its going to shake a little.

mine does that too.....i just turn up the stereo and drive faster......
