In this article docks are overstuffed, there are no workers, and not enough machinery to unload. This is hurting dealers and retailers in the western region. This sucks majorly. Thanks everyone for your replies and advice.

My salesperson was driving a Black 5speed tC. I know the dealer had a white tC when I first went in, and it was gone when I put my deposit down. He never tried to offer me anything other than what I asked about. Never mentioned, lets look at the xA RS 1.0 I have in, or this xB. I really want to wait at this dealer. I'm getting discouraged that his claim of 3 weeks to have my tC will turn out to be false. The more I read, the more I think the AP 5spd with SAB is going to be a rare find. I was hoping to be the first in my hometown to have a tC, I know of about 3 xB's in town, and possibly a tC spotted but I don't know if it's from here.

So far I'm very impressed by the whole Scion purchase experience, I'd be even more impressed if I got my tC before Christmas.

As you get older, your awareness goes away? What kind of crap is that? I drove manuals for years and it has nothing to do with awareness. It just gets old driving in stop and go traffic in the big city. After 10-12 hours at work and an hour crawling down the freeway, clutching hundreds of times, to drive 20 miles, you get a little bored with it. If I lived in Podunksville, I would still have a manual. For now, the back-and-forth-to-work-tC will be an auto. The only-on-the-weekends S2000 will be a manual.

The most I can say is what has been said ... shop around for a better dealer. Yes the Azure and Indigo are both very hard to get colours. Guess we just got lucky since we had absolutely NO wait for the Azure and the Indigo took 6 weeks. The dealer only offered us other tCs with the accessories ordered, just in other colours (a couple of deals fell through).

All in all, if the dealer is more customer oriented, they will help you get what YOU want. And if you are willing to wait, order the tC you want from the dealer who is willing to help you more than worrying about getting a bigger commision. (Or is KJ the only dealership that is like that?)
