Most resiliant paint?

Staining (from bird poop) kill white cars.
Silver seems to be a nice middle ground, but its also one of the most hardest colors to color match / blend if you ever end up needing repairs.
For holding up damage...I would think thin paint is thin paint no matter the color?
Body parts are metal so maybe the silver would best hide damage?
How about installing a clear bra?

Most silver cars that I've seen partially repainted end up being a little off when it's in the sun and I've been told by people who paint that it's not an easy color to work with.
Maybe its time for me to look for a new paint shop

You'd have to claim one ding/chip at a time.
Get the clear bra. I am planning on having my bumper repainted and will definitely put on a clear bra.

first new car i buy, first nice thing i ever had, and the front is covered in pain chips already in 1 year (bsp). Eventually I will have to get a kaminari kit and kaminari hood and spend another 4k to buy that and to get it painted and installed.

You've got to consider that you will have to pay your deductible and that your rates are going to go up.
Instead, spend the $500 in advance and protect your car from what you know will be coming. It will really save yourself some headache.
I have a clear bra and it has kept my car looking like brand new. And $500 installed wasn't bad considering they did the full hood instead of a partial.
But on another note, two of the managers at my work drive about 20k miles per year and their cars look amazing. One is a white TSX, the other is a black E500. Only the TSX has one rock chip, the MB has zero. It's amazing what paint quality can do.

My azure pearl is doing a damn good job at not showing imperfections. I do have rock chips on the front bumper and a few minor scratches on my spoiler from a shingle that flew off the roof during a bad storm and the color of the car hides it very well..swirl marks are virtually non- existant on this color as well.
i agree my azure pearl has maybe one or two paint chips in it and the guy who sold me my tC gave me a bottle of touch up paint and now you can't even see where the chips are unless you look really close ...
I dont drive on the Freeway much.....When I do I seem to get a New chip everytime though...GGrrrrrrrrr!.....other than that I dont get many chips from city driving!...my car is 2yrs old now!!...
