Unfortunately, I don't remember the breakdown of the numbers. I got the whole package for $150-ish. That included the front sides, back sides, windshield, rear glass, sunroof, and moonroof. I got it done at a place in Northridge:

That's a basically stock tc....nothing sexy about it really. I think I will tint my front windsheild though.

your car reminds me of one of those toy replicas that just paint black over the wndows to simulate tint.

you either must not really care about ticket fines.. I think after a certain amount of tint violations they suspend your license, so be cautious.

that's what sunglasses are for. Tinting the windshield is NOT safe. Even less with 18%

Do you drive with sunglasses at night?

Nope, don't need sunglasses. My car has built-in sunglasses.

I was pointing out that it would be much more reasonable to use sunglasses so u can take them off when it's dark and/or raining/snowing; than having a permanent blocking (which is not safe)

It's perfectly safe. It blocks the sun in the day and it blocks bright lights at night. What's not safe is being blinded by someone's high-beams on a twisting canyon road.

it's not a smart a$$ comment. Otherwise if it were perfectly safe, they would come with the car and they wouldn't be illegal.

But anyway it's your choice and I respect that, as long as you don't drive near me

Looks clean. How did you fill the spot where the badge on the trunk sits?

Working on it at this time. Delta can take care of that. PM him and he can hook you up with a badgeless piece for the rear, or you can send your piece to him and he can debagde, fill, and paint it. (Username is Delta).

You don't get it. It is perfectly safe. It's actually safer because you cancel out the blinding effects of oncoming lights. The reason it is illegal and doesn't come on all cars is because the cops want to be able to see inside the car from the outside.

Quoting this for posterity's sake when he gets on a head on collision and I'm laughing.

Been driving this way for 5 years and no accidents of any sort. Sorry to disappoint.

The only people who understand the advantage of a tinted windshield are the people who have tried it. Everyone else just makes uninformed smartáss comments.

Oh I do get it, that's why I made the smart decision.

Again your choice, your problem.

I agree, I remember driving around in a friends R32 with her car tinted 35% all the way around, yeah day time was fine, but night time was a pain in the ___. If you think its safe you must have not driven enough. Just with 20% on my car, it is already hard enough to see out of it during the night, let alone having the windshield tinted. Another prime example was a friends car that had 5% all the way around and 5% half way on the windshield, now that was a wreck waiting to happen. Could not see diddly squat.
I was going to tint my windshield with 50% but decided against that because I just don't feel like giving a cop a reason to pull me over. So basically never got pulled over in my tc yet ever since i owned it in 04, and I want to keep it that way.
