Default My Car is Gone- Totaled

Well it looks like i won't be on here anymore. Yesterday morning on my way to the train station, I hit a deer. The car spun out and hit a pole in the right rear quarter and the rear wheel is sticking out at an odd angle. The body shop says it looks like it's a total loss. I don't know.. The front end is fine, just the rear quarter and part of the door. I'm okay, just bruised but I have to say that the cabin stayed intact. The glass roof held up, and only the rear quarter window blew out. I would buy one again in a minute, but I won't be getting another car for awhile...

RIP 05 tC and thanks for saving my life and my fiance's

My premium went up too... but the "total" posts were long before that expensive thread.

This is why I carry a AK with night scope in the back. My buddy usually stands up in the car sticking out out of the sunroof with the gun looking for deer on night cruises. We shall revenge your loss tonight.

Mmmm Yes but the deer is the root of the problem.

Thanks for all the support guys, I may get anoher one down the line, but for now i'll just have to be content with my fiance's honda civic, we could use the money for other things at this point.

I do have an eye on a 08 Audi TT cuope, but I wouldn't get one until 09.. It's cheaper that way..lol

Nothing quite so fun as Urban hunting........just do not let your buddy sit on the hood and jump at the deer with a bowie knife like I did one night long ago.....it was quite painfull....

this would be a comprehensive claim, it was a random act of nature, it is in no way shape or form his fault. if he was in an accident that he caused due to negligent driving or speeding or street racing, then yeah, that would explain, but your statement implies that deer are more likely to jump out in front of scions than any other car on the road.

anyway, i fee your pain man, my tc was attacked (literally, the deer ran out accross the road from behind a chain link fence lined with bushes across two-three lanes of traffic while i was going 40 mph into my friggan car) last friday on my way to work. luckily it wasn't totalled, just $2500 worth of damage, but i was mad. also, one jumped out in front of my gf's xa, did 3 grand in damage. they are annoying animals, i'm thinking about putting out some salt licks laced with arsenic.

if deers are really bad you could opt for a deer whistle that truckers use could avoid some damages, might even get away with it under your tc out of sight.
