Default my dealership experience

well im new here and plan to get a tc in a while. i went to two dealerships and both told me some odd things about the tc that i wasnt sure was true. The first one i went to dint have any for me to test drive and said they wouldnt have any for atleast 2 weeks. When I asked about the paint problems he said he had never heard of them and the tc's paint is the same as any other toyota. The second dealership had 3 for me to look at. The salesman gave me alot of pressure and said to not waist his time and order one soon. He said that the tc had 6 layers of paint and it has been out in the U.S. for 2 yrs but in japan for 6 yrs! then he made himslef sound even more poopy by saying that he only makes $75 off of one sale. Before i left he again told me to not waste his time and that he has to sell 12 cars or he will get fired! how much did they lie to me?

The first dealer you went to was an idiot for not keeping one for test drives, although as far as the paint problems he might not have honestly heard anything. The second dealer was wrong about everything. No customer is ever waisting a salesmans time....EVER! If you don't buy maybe someone you know will. Thats the way I see it. I have never read anywhere in any literature about the tC how many layers of paint they use and I try to stay very well informed. The tC has only been out for a year and a half and has never been released outside the U.S.. He might make $75 per Scion, but why does he need to volunteer that information to you. If he treats every customer like he treated you he is in no danger of selling 12 cars. I would go elsewhere and fast.

Holy crap... this guy is a total idiot. Do not EVER buy anything from this dealership and tell EVERYONE you know to do the same.

The tC has been available for sale in the US since the fall of 2004 (2005 model year). It has NEVER existed in Japan. Ever.

Call the number in my sig. His job problems are not yours. He can whine and cry all he wants, you shouldn't have to deal with it.

Figure out exactly what you want on your car, call up scion customer service, and they'll help you get it.

The paint on the tC is thin, and it will chip. Just like all toyotas. I got my hood and front bumper repainted with a 5 year warranty at a local bodyshop, you can do the same if it bugs you that much.

By the way, I'm driving an automatic with the lip spoiler. I paid about 17,800.00, out the door.

After I called Scion, it took me about a week to get my car.

Pure pricing means pure pricing.
