Yeah solder. I understand not everyone will like it but I Think it looks great. I was thinking all red but then I thought "well, then I lose the red rev limiter and oil temperature lights". I like it a lot, and everyone who's seen it likes it too.

you can do it all in blue and not lose any of the red. Mine are all blue gauges, but the redline and high temp still show in red (the red filters work with the blue). I just left out all of the dummy and warning lights so they are still the stock color. Just did the gauges and odo

Yeah, I said all red, not blue dummy (Just kidding, hell I took your advice about soldering to heart, good tips)

I left all the dummy lights stock. Why change those? Not much point. Man, does it look sweet. next up is the center console, that's a little harder from what I hear (desoldering? Gotta learn how to use this braid I got effectively)

Havent done my center console yet either, need to take it apart and figure out how to fix the dim ones. A couple of others who have done the center console say a couple of them are too dim, so we have to figure out what else to replace... and I for one have been too lazy to look at it lately

Looks good by the way

Thanks. Yeah, turned out nice and the solder joints look pretty good. Then again, I bought 50 leds originally, so I still have plenty of backups .

From what I understand its the blues that go dim on the center console. I'm probably going to go with an all red witih blue accents there. I need to investigate the lcd screen before I make the mistake of some and go and break it .

from what i can tell...i want to put blue in the speedometer up to about 80 mph and then change the LEDs to red....i know this can be done b/c of the arrangement fo the LED cluster on the speedometer....the rpmometer (dont know the name for this..tachometer maybe) already has the red ther so we dont need them.

good job!!!!!

It would bleed together at a point instead of making a distinct line. They all shine into the same opening. But that may still look cool, it would fade from blue through a mixture of red and blue and then to straight red.

You could go REALLY custom and get a thin peice of metal and make a distinguised line where you want it, and use the plate to sepearte blue leds from red. That's a lot of work though, and may or may not look good.

sweetness. do you think it's possible to make it so the numbers are red and the lines and stuff are blue or vice versa? That's something i'd be interested in doing.

anyway, that looks nice though. i think better than if it were all red or all blue.
