Default My New Gear! Axis Hiros, Tein SS-P's, AW Header... no 56k

Thanks to James and Jeremy @ Creative Compacts for the rim/suspension/header setup.. sorry the car is filthy all I haven't had time to wash it yet.. and on the desperate search for an empty spot to snap some pics I had a run-in with a dirt road and some mud...

1) Luminics UV Bulbs
2) K&N Typhoon Cold Air Intake
3) Alphawerks Header
4) Tein Superstreet w/ Pillowball Uppermount Coilovers
5) 18" Axis Hiro's in Silver
6) Nitto Neo Gen Tires
7) S2000 Antenna
...possibly a silver carbon fiber hood on the way.

nice drop and offset. (but yeah, taking a dirt road to a rock quarry in the rain isn't probably the best way to show off a wheel setup....)

jk, again, that offset and drop is perfect, imo.

Props on suspension. Glad to see that not everybody is trying to cut corners on their car performance.

Thanks guys.. the car handles like a freakin' wet dream right now. I'll probably be adding the Progress rear sway eventually.

Also.. that's actually not a rock quarry, it's a parks and recreation services parking lot I guess they're doing construction lol. And believe it or not, I ran into the mud/dirt road when I took a turn down what began as a nice freshly paved neighborhood street. Ieee!

They're completely down in the rear. James had his on all the way down in the front as well (he's got the same ones I do) and we both agreed the front of his car looked lower than the rear.. so we decided to raise the front up just a tiny bit, I think a couple quarters of a inch maybe, so it would be even with the rear. They said you can't measure the eveness by the wheel gap, you've got to look at the bottom of the car along the sideskirts and compare front with rear.

I believe they are 18 x 8.5 .. the offset in the rear is a bit screwy, apparently there is some negative camber issue in the rear so I'm going to have to get a camber adjustment kit to correct it. I apologize if that doesn't make any sense I don't know a hell of a lot about offsets.

smash, the offset just is the measure of how far or in or out the wheel will sit. it is not whether the wheels sit upright (the camber stuff). our cars come with a wheel that has a 45 mm offset meaning that the stock wheels sit "under" the body. so when the car is lowered on an aftermarket suspention the stock wheels and tires "hide" under the body. many wheels with or without added spacers bring the wheels farther out so that when the car is lowered the car body is just above the wheels at the same side view distance. they are not "tucked" under it.

that is generally the "look" people want. the tire and wheel should rest beneath the body but at the same distance from it from a side view, not tucked under it as if the tire and wheel is hidden under the car's body.

you did it right and it's about offset. i imagine they used spacers or did an offset of about 20 to 25.

anyway, good job
