thanks for all the compliments everyone.... the mods actually ran upwards of 3k so it cost me a pretty penny and i will be broke for a while --- but loving it nonetheless!!

i've wanted to get tint for awhile now, but if i did i'd get 20% all the way around, and the thought of drawing any attention to myself from cops (over whats necessary and unavoidable) really bothers me. i just feel i don't need to give police a reason to pull me over....

Smash has joined the coilover club! Woot!

Your setup looks awesome. Congrats.

I have the Progress rear sway too. If you are thinking about doing that, I definitely recommend it.

Awesome! Do you notice a difference at all? I was thinking of doing Hotchkis but I'd actually rather go for the Progress bar...

Smash,

Shweeeet! =) You said it handles awesome, but how's the ride? What's the turn in like compared to stock? How's the lean in the front of the car around a long sharp corner (like a round about)?

Looking good!

Nope. But thanks.. it's good to hear it every now and then

Also-- the ride is very very smooth, very similar to stock. However, with the larger wheels and the car being so low you do notice each and every bump in the road. It's not terrible but definitely expect to be able to feel what you're driving over. There's very little lean around long curves, in fact, it feels as if the entire steering of the car has been altered (well I guess it has really), because the steering is super-responsive and the car no longer leans and pulls you into a turn, rather, it kind've just flows with the curve and remains incredibly stuck to the pavement.

Most of the time, especially if you're going around a curve you drive on often, it will feel like you're not even going around a curve. I've found myself asking "didn't that used to be a sharp turn?"

You may have camber issues due to the drop in ride height...probably got that confused with the offset of the wheels.

What size tires do you have on those wheels?

I love the look of those wheels...just not so sure I want to spend the money on the tires over and over again (I'm assuming the 18's are much more expensive then the 17's as far as tires go.) I wonder if there are any wheels that look VERY similar in 17"...

Yes I actually do have negative camber in the rear.. I'll need to be getting a camber adjustment kit in the near future, in the mean time I'm going to be checking for wear on the tires and see how bad it is.

Also, I believe Axis offers the Hiro in a 17" size.

Smash, your car looks great!!!! I'd like to know if the axis hiros are giving you any problems? Do they rub at all? I have the trd spring/shock combo, I figure if you have the coilovers and they don't rub, i should be safe. What do you think?

Well.. I've got the coilovers dropped all the way down in the rear and almost all the way down in the front. I can honestly say there is no rubbing *unless* there are 4 or more people in the car. (yes I've had more than 4 in there). I actually made the mistake of driving around DC the other week with 4 peple in the car.. boy was that bad. Thought it was going to kill the car.

Other than that, the Hiros are great. Just watch those curbs.

I'll be taking some new pics this weekend when I get her washed up again its been 104 degrees here the past couple days and then a monsoon this evening. Damn it never stops does it. I hate summer.

**PS- I took the car in a couple weeks ago to Ultimate Performance who did the alignment. They did an awesome job, the wheels look a bit more staggered out to the sides for a slightly more aggressive look, oh, and, best of all they got rid of the negative camber issue w/o me having to buy a camber adjustment kit. Woo!

Thanks for the info. You are brave driving on DC streets. I work down in SE and drive my pickup, because a truck is needed handle the potholes and constant construction around my job. I think my scion would be rattled apart if I drove it to work in DC everyday. Weather has been real nice this week

Everything looks nice. One quick note to add for future AW header owners. Before you start the car, use Isopropyl (sp?) alcohol with a clotch or paper towel and wipe down the header completely. Do this after it's installed and DO NOT touch the header again after you wipe it. It'll clean the header of any oils from your hands and keep the whole thing looking great, instead of any discoloration or blue hues to the runners.

Still looks good though, the wheel width is killer!
