Default my project... Interior color change… (56kers...watch out)

This weekend I had a 10page term paper and managed to finish this..
i went with blue, i wanted green but it's hard to find after market green parts.. with blue i can just run to the local hardward store or Autozone and buy blue stuff...

(center door coming soon..)

do you like or is it too girly...?

no no... i made sure it was perfect

the problem is the block bevels out a bit and i wasn't about to paint the clock.. as for the round on the bottom, beleive me u gotta see how clean it is.. i do however dislike the clear i used. i might respray it with better clear...

also i took the pic vertical... the edges come out diff when i flip it clockwise..

thanks though

I am usually against painting interior parts because it looks tacky and cheap but this is a really good job! I like the color you used. I'm glad to see you didn't go with white or yellow. The metallic blue looks awesome!

Definitely looks nice. I'd never paint mine just for fear of doing non-reversible things, but looks good nonetheless.

surprisingly good. The bit around the gauges... do they make a silver that would match the factory silver?

I was going to recommend painting the door stripped and not
full on, I see phoenix did exactly that! Do just like his!

Not sure about your doors phoenix, but everything else looks HOTT!

No I had a local shop here in town do it for me. He still has to do the rear panels so it will run to the back. The console was painted by a guy in our club. Viper Blue pearl. Came out really nice. If you plan on doing the panels yourself, just be carefull when you remove the insert. Half of it is held in with screws and the top part is held in with melted plastic rivets. So he had to remove those and put in screws to replace them.

Ya I am getting mixed reviews on the panels. Looks better in person. Much darker then the pics show. Thanks for the input!

I like it (both of your interiors that is.) How did you guys go about getting the pieces of the center console off so you could paint them?

Phoenix's looks good too. I don't know what I think yet about the doors, but the engine looks great!

The center console comes apart like a puzzle. Pull up on the lower part of the console by the brake handle. Be careful of the lighter. Then pull up on the bottum of the upper peice and it will snap off just like the bottum. Work you way from bottum to top. Once you have it off, there are 4 screws that hold the darker silver trim peices on by the shift boot. Take those out and you have two trim peices for easy painting. The top part of the console had to be taped off, but the bottum part is in three peices.
