while driving into work this morning i passed by a construction area and heard what sounded like something splatter on my tc. when i looked out the rearview mirror i could see what looked like drops of water on the rear window. as soon as i got into the parking garage at work i got out and took a closer look. there were little clear droplets all over the rear of my car. so, i tried to wipe one of them away and it left a black mark. i was able to rub off the black mark but there were tons of these droplets on the rear of my car. i plan on taking it to a car wash during lunch, but i'm very concerned as to what that stuff is. anyone know what it is and whether i should be worried about it?

 

Could be a lot of different things: tar, hydraulic oil (depending on what type of construction), etc.

As long as it comes off clean, there's nothing to worry about.
