yes, the metallic looks gorgeous in direct sun. in low light, the paint looks very wet.
the paint can be color matched, you just have to use good paint. my spoiler is a 100% match, but my guy used awesome paint. dont skimp and you'll be fine.

looks to me its just the light reflecting off of it, especially cause how it cuts off, that would be its shadow.

Washed it and waxed it today, so I took some pictures. Most recent additions are gloss black Figure grille and painted engine cover. I got bored yesterday, so I went to Pep Boys and got a nice silver and did some clear over it. It's not perfect, but I like it much more than the black, and it matches my silver calipers now. :D

We got a sweet ice storm this week and I happen to have hand waxed my tC two days before so I decided to play with my new Cannon 400D XTi and some of the lens combos in the snow.

were those pictures done in auto mode or did you play with the aperture and expsoure manually?
your depth of field adjustment is great in those 2 pictures. car completely in focus and the background blurred.
great pictures

Thanks! I shoot in manual mode all the way. The first one was done with a 17-85mm image stabilized wide angle zoom and the second shot was with a 70-300mm image stabilized telephoto zoom. ...both we're hand held and only crops were handled in Photoshop, no other alterations we're made.
I shot all these with a Canon Powershot G series in manual mode - http://toyotanation.com/forum/t161150.html - I was pretty impressed with the results. Some of the full res shots are sharp as a tack
