Btw, anyone have experience with this:

http://www.dezod.com/pd_stoptech.cfm

Im looking to get this in drilled and slotted.

Ok I'll try to get some pics for you next weekend when I get the car cleaned up.

IMHO it's a waste of money to get that Dezod package when you can spend a little more and get this at TRDSparks:

http://trdsparks.com/displayparts.ph...&parts_id=2314

The weakest part of our braking system (other than needing stainless steel lines) is the Single-piston calipers. The calipers are what needs to be upgraded, the rotors are just icing on the cake. If you don't want to spend $1100 on the BBK, I would just buy upgraded calipers (and stainless lines), which you can get here:

http://www.fastscions.com/wilwood-4-...2005-2010.aspx

These calipers actually come with the stainless lines....so for the same money as the dezod package, this is wayyyy better.

Interesting but i think the dezod kit might be the most cost effective for me at this point. I don't even know if I need spacers with those wilwoods. Wait, did the TRD kit fit with the stock rims without spacers?

Also, does anyone have experience with swapping out the brake lines for stainless steel ones? Is it hard? Anyone have a DIY? lol

http://clubsciontc.com/forums/diy-in...install-22499/

Nvm, looks fairly easy. I just need to find out the sequence to bleeding the brakes.

You don't need spacers with the Wilwoods, because you are using the stock diameter rotors. From the website:

includes Wilwood 4-Piston Calipers (Black or Red), Pads, SS Lines & Mounting Brackets to use with OEM Rotors!!!

It's the same cost effectiveness as the Dezod because they are around the same price, but with the Wilwoods you get upgraded calipers, which is more important than the rotors by far.

Ive changed the stock rubber lines out with the stainless steel ones, it's very easy if you have basic tools, the hardest part of the whole process is bleeding the brakes.

The TRD BBK requires spacers if you want to use it with the stock 17" rims, Ive got 18" RPF1's so it wasn't an issue.

The bleeding sequence is as follows:
Rear passenger, Rear Driver, Front Passenger, Front Driver. Basically you are starting the farthest away from the master cylinder and working back towards it.

easy except for bleedin....or if you run into seized lines like i had told you about lol. one thing to try before you remove them is use pb blaster or wd-40 to let ti break up any corrosion that may be in the connectors

and the trd ones i believe were made to work with the stock 17" wheels so they should be ok. i believe trd sparks had them cheaper than most (my buddy at dealership said he couldnt even get them through our local dealership at his discount for what sparks sells them for)

Did some research and this is what I have discovered. The standard brake kit offered by Wilwood does not fit stocks without spacers, however. When ordering from the site you FastScions.com, they actually use a smaller 4 piston caliper I believe which I believe fits with the stocks.

My conclusion, too much headache.

StopTech Upgrade Kit

FastScions.com
StopTech front and back pads: $110.9
StopTech front and back rotors (slotted): 379.8
StopTech front and rear stainless steel lines: 107.9
Total: $598.6

Dezod.com
Full kit: $579.00

Soooooo, haha.

if you order the caliper kit from fastscions it will fit because its still using the 11" oem rotor as opposed to the wilwood aftermarket 13" rotor. if you check around for 'wilwood bbk' you'll find a thread where someone did fit it just fine with the stock wheels with pics

Yeah I did a little bit of research and discovered that I already knew about all this, I guess I just have bad memory. Also, I called fastscion, they pretty much confirmed what I rediscovered. In the end, I ended up getting the stoptech. Just ordered.

Oh and Chris, for some reason I thought you had went force induction but I guess you didn't. Haha, get on that.

nope i keep putting it off, thinking next year might be the year. i usually travel 6 hours to memphis and ohio for shows each year and always worried about engine issues being that far away. its pretty much the last thing to do to the car lol

bad memory = old age or too much drinking.....which means too much drinking is working haha. congrats on the purchase.

So these aftermarket brake kits include new lines and fluid. When bleeding the lines pouring new fluid into the reservoir, you are only replenishing the reservoir/master cylinder/lines/calipers.

But what about the old fluid that never left the abs module, how do you completely drain/replenish/bleed the entire system?

Update, apparently Centric Part is the mother company of both StopTech and PowerSlot. For future references, if you receive PowerSlot products in substitution to StopTech, they are claimed to be more or less the same thing. I received two front StopTech rotors and two rear PowerSlot rotors. Both came with very similar packaging with different production dates and labels.
