this is your job....duh...
i didnt mean u have to accept those rude comments they made to you, but you should always try to comfort and explain the issues they have...

just like police officers always got complained...they still have to do their job and enforce the law...

making a comment like "you should get bmw instead of $17,000 car is just non-sense...$17,000 is big amount of money to many people, it doesnt mean a $17,000 car should have crappy quality.....

toyota is not a small company, they do have to stand behind their products...thats why they have all the customer services to help keep their reputation...

There is no excuse for this type of post that started this topic. Customers are what pays your bills for your family, your car payment on your tC, etc. Fixing the rattles & squeaks in a new car should be done.(personal opinion) Our tC that we have here for people to drive and for us to use as a car for advertising had the sunroof creak and a squeak in the back. They were fix in the service dept. Customers service is what you are in deal with it. I have seen alot of service advisors go the extra mile to warranty something outside of the warranty period for some customers. These customers are also the same ones that have been respectful of the service advisors. So in a nutshell it really goes both ways, when it comes to being respectful to each other as human beings.

Its all about the customers. I own a business in the mall and I always go the extra lenght to satisfy the customer, be fake with them even though they are being an ___. After all, they are paying for my bills. You always have to draw a line though and if that line is crossed, just take the proper procedure. Its knowing how to comunicate with customers and letting them know that you understand the situation. It just sounds like your taking everything that the customers tell you personal when its all about business. Dont tell me that you've never got ____ed off when your dealing with customer service. To every problem... theres always a solution.

Default Customer Service

Bottom Line is I'm going to send this thread to Toyota Motor Corp. If these are the people they are hiring and they dont have patience for the people who complain over petty things then I dont think they should be in the customer service industry! Especially one the size of Toyota! The words used by the Scion reps on this site about their customers are very harsh and too inconsiderate. We pay your salary everytime we buy one of these things and everytime we buy a part!!! If you can't deal with the public I dont care who it is then you shouldn't be in the business no matter what the questions are.

As for 17,000 not a lot of money to get stuff fixed or the excuse that it's a cheap car to not hear rattling well these are new vehicles my friends they shouldn't rattle number 1 and number two if anyone here has 17,000 dollars cash in hand then you shouldn't be driving a Scion cause 17,000 dollars isn't cheap and isn't little money. In the car world it may be a cheap car but it aint a Yugo, and thats what these reps are making it sound like. Hopefully Toyota can find out who these reps are on this thread!

Guess you guys are little kids. No ones here to make fun of anyone, it's a forum to state opinions which is okay but when you find out that you bought a car from a company that their own employees can't handle the business it's kinda messed up!

I have never owned a honda, but I am going to guess that a new civic doesn't creak or rattle and costs about the same as a tc. Granted, 17-21k isn't much for a new car these days, but no new car shouldn't creak and rattle like a mid-80's chevy blazer.

Oh yes, and threatening to report the guy to TOYOTA FOR RANTING ON THE INTERNET sure does prove to us that we are little kids.

There is nothing wrong with letting a person get a little steam off his chest. However, I do have a problem with someone going to the guy's employer and trying to get him fired. That's just a ******** thing to do, no matter how you cut it.

Be that as it may, the Honda Civic has been around for 20 years and has gone through numerous makeovers. This is the tCs FIRST year of production. Humans designed it and they make mistakes... and it's the job of the service department to correct these mistakes.

Good then I'm a ******** if that makes you feel good! If he wants to talk ____ about our cars (the company he works for) and not get ____ for it from someone, then tell him to go eith A)work for honda or B) go to a honda forum where everyone will agree with him.

Peace done with this thread!

I think the ranter was ranting about being disrespected, not about doing his job.

Actually that comment was more toward florencescion who's saying if we don't want a car with problems we should buy a $50k car.

The bottom line is: it doesn't matter if you're a customer or not, be civil and have respect.

I can't tell you how much I get done for me by not being an _______. People come here and they read "just _____ and yell and make a ____storm" from people who have no idea WTF they're talking about (prolly saw it in some movie or TV show and thought it was the right way to do things). Then they go and do that - SURPRISE, it makes the dealer LESS willing to work with you! Then surprise, YOU get madder, and so on.

Being a customer does not make you magically right. Don't be a dumbass. Work WITH people. When you're wrong, admit you're wrong (something people on chat boards have no idea how to do). A dealer who's your FRIEND will help you more than a dealer who's your ENEMY - I don't care wtf you think they're "supposed" to do - that's the way the world works, and maybe it's time for you to learn that.

You can't stop everyone from being an _______, but you can sure do your part.

tC dealers' defending of the rattle problem is normal. tC owners bought the car and paid for close to 20k including tax and other fees out of the dealers' doors and found out the hatchback rattle, which is a bad feeling.

You guys all need to grow up. This is a common complaint on the TC and with a first year model run, there are going to be some issues. Not everything will have been 100% ironed out. Yelling at the service guys who fix your car is not going to solve anything

The original poster of this thread was just frustratrated and wanted to vent, I'm sure in a forum that would understand his frustrations. Wow, was he wrong. You have all jumped down his throat and yelled at, ridiculed, and apparently one of you is even trying to get him fired. That's ridiculous. What are you, in 4th grade and running away yelling, "I'm gonna go tell mommy!!!"? Give the guy his space, let him vent about other moron Scion owners, not you specifically, and go from there. We all know that there are jerks who own every kind of car out there. This jerk who treated him poorly happened to be a tC owner.

Price of the car aside, it's still an economy car no matter how you slice it. Let's try to just be a little nicer to each other and a bit more understanding
