take it back to the dealer. it's most likely a factory defect, and they'll replace it.

how am i supposed to prove that it broke on it's own? it should be covered, but the screen cracked. it's not an electrical issue, it was physically damaged.

i m gonna try to see what the dealer is gonna say. the sales dude still remembers me and its only been 2 months and 2000 miles. i'll try to keep everyone updated on how that goes. i have a feeling they wont cover it, but if the car is THAT new, they might just to keep you as a customer.

If the dealer doesnt give you a good option you could always just buy one from a junkyard or an online site like Car-part.com. Thats the site I used to find a new one, look under 05-06 tC Heater/AC Control. This shows you all the junkyards selling tC HVAC's. Oh, and the LCD is the same for all years, so dont worry about that.

Thats what I did when I had to replace mine, it costs a bit usually to get a good screen but depending on where you find it you could get it for as low as 50-70, but thats really your only other option past the dealer

$500 for an hvac and we sell them constantly on the PPC for like $80, LOL.

Damn the market.

Also i'm sure it will be a no-go for a free replacement. Couple weeks after getting my first tc, after installing the springs I over-torqued the wiper arm with an air wrench and cracked the arm. The service guy was like... the manager isn't going to let me replace that, you overtightened it. So, after talking to the manager he wanted me to pay like $90 for a "dealer price" arm.

Default LCD Screens

I went to the dealer and they wanted $ 650.00 dollars for a new replacement, which is everything. I found this place online and i got a new circut board with a new LCD clock screen for $79.00 dollars. i installed it and it works great, anyone needing a new LCD Screen for thier Scion should go to this site. http://store.garage1217.com/
