Hey all, I have a few questions and I am posting it here since it covers more then one area of the car.
1st:
I am going to go to a synthetic trans fluid and I am debating what make and weight. I just want some folks that have used them to chime in.
Redline
Modile 1
Royal Purple
If you have used any of them let me know what you thought.
2nd:
I am about to finish of my exhaust with an S-pipe and mid section. I currently have the megan header and a Greddy Ti-C exhaust. I am debating between
Invidia S-pipe
Megan S-pipe
DME S-pipe
I have heard that the megan S pipe and header combo tend to hang lower then the others and is more prone to scratching and slamming speedbumps etc. {and yes I know how to drive over bumps, dips, drive ways etc, but at 6'6 and 300lbs every little bit helps}
3rd:
I am looking into my suspension setup. Things are a little to tight at the moment for the Tein SS-Ps that I want so I am looking at other options. I dont want to do shocks with my s-techs until I can get some that are adjustable, or until I can scrap the s-techs in favor of the hotchkis springs. So for now I am looking into
Hotchkis front and rear sways
TRD rear sway
{I think} Ingals rear sway
I have heard that both is over kill and that one {rear} is all you really need. I prefer function over comfort, so if there is a benefit to both I will go that route.
P.S. Anyone out there running S-techs with "Blue HP Shocks"?? if so whats your take on the ride vs handling.
4th: As for rear strut bar simply debating
Greddy rear strut bar
Ingals four point rear strut bar
Also debating megan C-pillar bar. Wonder if anyone out there can attest to it having any effect at all.
5th:
Denso plugs. With my mild bolt ons, is there any real advantage to getting cooler plugs, and if so by how many steps.
6th:
I am also about to have my rotors re-surfaced and some new pads put on. Im really not sure what pads to look at or for. As with so many things I have read a dozen threads to different ends. I drive on dark blue wheels so brake dust isnt really an issue. More concerned with function of brake dust. So, any pads you have used and liked, please let a man know.
Thanks all

ok lets see...
1) havent done one yet
2) megan spipe, mine doesnt hang low
3) trd rear sway, cleanest. or progress
4) greddy. c pillar bar wont do much, i dont reccomend it
5) no
6) DO NOT GET AXXIS

6) DO NOT GET AXXIS
1) I've put Redline MT90 in mine and have no complaints... but you list all good brands so as long as you get the proper fluid, you'll probably have good results either way.
2) Don't know.
3) TRD or Progress. A rear bar on the stiffest setting will give you some great results. And the Progress bar comes with new endlinks.
4) Rear strut bar wont do too much, but the Ingalls 4 point bar should theoretically do the most. I've read good things.
5) No.
6) I'm running Axxis Ultimates at the moment and am not incredibly impressed. They're not bad, but nothing incredible or "ultimate" about them, IMO.[/quote]

Okay.... here's the deal on a couple of things you are looking at. I run the full Hotchkis TVS Stage 1 suspension system on my 08 tC and did on my 06 too.
The Hotchkis sways are generally more stiff and a larger diameter sway than the competition. The Hotchkis springs are progressive rate springs and handle very well. They will give you basically a full 2" drop front and rear. Great drop w/o being to low IMO for DD use. And because the sways are a larger diameter (which is better) it is not recommended that you run a rear Hotchkis sway w/o the front. However with that said...I am a mechanic and do 99% of my own mods.... to install not just the Hotchkis front sway..but any front sway... you have to drop the entire front sub-frame. but it is well worth it. Im running that with a TRD front strut tower brace..and I tell you she corners and handles like she's on rails... no BS.
oh and just one other thing to mention about the plugs.... from what I've heard and seen... the ones that come stock in our tC's is the best one for it...and it was designed to use that iridium pre-gapped plug. Rare for a stock part to be the best one in the long run for it...but that's what I've heard.

and yes that honks me off cause I can do it myself.. but Im done _____ing. such is the life of an apt dweller.
Soon to follow I am certain will be a further discusion of the rear strut bar, c pillar bar, HIDs, etc.
