So seeing as I enjoy doing these write ups to help out on the boards, I am going to be doing another one soon. Only one problem. What should I do it on?

I always get asked about painting body kits as well as making a badgeless garnish.

So SL, you choose:

DIY on how to paint a lip/body kit

or

DIY on how to make a badgeless garnish

Pictures of a painted lip kit and badgeless garnishes that I recently did below. Obviously, the one that gets the most amount of votes will be the subject of the DIY.

Lastly, both spray can and spray gun methods will be shown.

 

I would say since most don't either own or have access to a spray gun I would do "correct" spray can painting, and both have advantages of learning: body filling on the garnish, and painting curved areas/long streches!

my vote is for the badgeless garnish...

 

You know the next largest area that people tackle is how to paint interior pieces.I use an airbrush to do mine,but the prep on how to sand and prep properly a piece liek the waterfall would be usefull.

I wasn't planning on doing a DIY on interior pieces, seeing as there are quite a few out there already.

So which is it? Interior pieces, badgeless garnish, or lip kit?

Interior pieces will be first, followed by badgeless garnish...since it takes a little time. Anybody care to send me their interior pieces to get done? Or point me in the direction for an entire interior set?

No cost. I'll cover everything. Interior pieces must be the stock interior. Pre-painted pieces will not be worked on. If I mess up, I'll gladly purchase another set.

My only concern is that I don't want someone driving around with no interior for X amount of days.

 

well, if you can do envy green or BSP, im game. The fact that you'll cover the cost of painting is even better, since im low on cash.

 

Well crap I already painted everything except the seat belt slips and the dome lights.....lol

you do great work man......and area great benifit to the site.
