Default Need Some Help ALL ...........

Okay heres the deal....i have searched this out and even asked a few people and there are lots of mixed opinions and suggestions.(djaaron won't help because he is making money of this so dont bother him) Here it goes:
I really want to do this gauge and console conversion mod but i am getting too many mixed answers about where to get the LED's. There have been a few places people say to buy and claim some are better or worse: lc-led.com, mouser.com, and digikey.com, please lead me in the right direction. Pros or cons anyone??

Heres what i would like to do; I want to do my gauges in blue and the console to make white. I have been hearing about the lighting to be dim in the console so was wondering if white looks good. Not sure if the watts matter or where i should buy those for the console.

Hoping maybe someone in South Florida can do it (found one person but not sure) or maybe ill go for it myself (could use some courage, tips, or pointers) .....Anyway any help or input you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Jason

I'm not sure what search functions you are using, but if you do a search for "guage conversion" and change the terms to search for all, you'll see a posting by sciondad. he gives the *exact* website and led sizes he used. If you do a search for "LED conversion", again using ALL terms, you'll get an article, with pics of the finished product by tchillin, complete with website and parts numbers.

Sorry for not posting the direct links....I'm trying to bridge the gap between people who just reply "use the search button" and people who post the direct links. I'm hoping that by posting what I searched for, that it'll help people see that sometimes you have to change what you search for (i.e. try multiple word combinations, as well as the search for all terms options).

I did mine and I think I talked to you before. The ones from lc-led are fine, I bet these are the ones djaaronp uses in his installs. The only color that has an issue is the blue at the moment and that's just on the center console. If you went blue for the gauges and white for the console, it should look ok just keep in mind the console won't be as bright as the gauges but it would still be brighter than if you went blue.

Red is the color that seems to get the best results and can be bought from any of the retailers you listed above. Personally I bought mine from Digi-Key and am very pleased with the result of the gauges but not with the result of the console but I'm starting to get used to it.

And as soon as I get the time to rip apart my console again to draw a schematic of the console board then I'm sure that ScionDad, Engifineer and myself won't take long to find a solution for the blue ones.

Also...not to be an ___, but posting a msg with the topic of "Need some Help all" is not the best way to get replies on your question. Changing the topic to something descriptive and relevant, such as LED conversion help needed, makes a *huge* difference.

Thank you for the input. I just want to make sure that i get the right stuff.....i figured that if i go white on the center it will be a least better than if i went blue...due to the dimness. I have already ordered some LED's from lc-led for my dome and map lights so if that goes well then i guess thats where i will get the rest!! Thanks again

Before you complete your order with LC-LED make sure that he has the right amperage for the blue lights in stock. I ordered some from him earlier this month and they were too high so they didn't show up very well. He said that he would e-mail me when he got the right ones in. I still haven't gotten word yet.
