Like many other people I have had this problem with my sunroof.......I found that most of the noise if not all came from the front piece of glass that raises when you open the sunroof.....so 2 weeks ago I added a little bit of wd-40 to the brackets and arms and since then have not heard a single noise out of it.....

 

You should try some silicone spray instead of the WD-40.

 

Ya that would probably of worked better....

 

Yep, i just looked at mine yesterday and found the creaking from the actual tension created to uplift the wind deflector. Good post!
