New here, any suggestions?
Welcome to the life. First mod I would suggest is a shorty antenna. Also - a piece of advice like everyone else stated is don't cheap out... BUT the one thing I live by is buying used parts. As long as the brand is legit, used FTW. Also another thing to keep in the back of your mind is to remember that there are no such things as JDM parts for the tC. lol
Haha, true that, i meant cheap as in company. Used parts are very often the best investment. Ill be posting some soon myself. Oh and one more thing, make sure to plan. Have a good idea of what you want the car to be before you start modding, otherwise youll end up in the poor house with a hodgepodge of a vehicle. And finally, the best words of advice ive ever heard,
Fast,
Cheap,
Reliable
Pick any two.
Fast,
Cheap,
Reliable
Pick any two.
But that being said, 175hp driven well is plenty fast enough to be fun, so dont despair if you dont have the money to go FI, just upgrade the nut behind the wheel instead, youll see great gains. Personally, I could go FI but I honestly dont want to as for what I want to do with the car, anything over 200whp is pointless. Im just saving the money for a real toy car (93-95 MR2 Turbo) later on down the road.
Haha yeah, just not in a FWD car
. In an FWD, predictable torque curves FTW. Just kidding. I do love a good turbo tC, but ive been bitten by the NA 200whp bug. Perfect for a DD and HDPE track days on the weekends.
No chrome please no more chrome! I'm not a big fan of chrome on any car. And turbo all the way sounds good! I kept my tC stock for two years before I took it down to Ptuning. Now I'm loving the boost
