its not a trailer....its a short film so they can pitch the idea to WB so they can get a movie going or something but really i'm sure if they did a movie it won't be nothing like this cuz hollywood would bring it down making it poo
nah if it gets made it will be like this. Here is a interview with the director for it. for a while now since wb bought midway last year they have been trying to get a reboot going on. But there was a lawsuit which just ended. They also had no idea this short was getting made. The director spent his own 7.5grand to get it made. Wb has seen it but has not responded yet. but after they way things have been getting darker like dark knight ect this might be what they are looking for. Hes trying to get a r rated version made not a dumbed down pg 13 version. The gore is what made mortal kombat so good back in the day. he has had over 2.5 million views in 48 hours tho.. And i will be honest I have been playing Mk vs dc every night since i first saw this.

i read that they were trying to get it rated R like u said but at the end of the day the MPAA are going to bring it down to pg 13 for the simple fact that its more teen base game and they care about making money than how story lines should really be
The mpaa does give it the rating but they don't get to make the choice of the direction of the movie. Warner bros would be the ones would want to push it to either pg13 or rated r. It is a more teen based game. However the teens that were playing it when it was truly popular are no longer teens. I'm 28 and was a kid when this came out as well as the first movie. Sure they still make games but they just dont sell like they used to.The new street fighter kinda took over. They have not had a hard time making SAW sell millions of tickets at rated r rating and I have no doubt that if they keep it as a rated r that it will sell so much more as if they dumb it down. At this point we don't know if its even getting made. So we will have to wait and see.
This is what MK needs, a dark twist on the old story. I like how it has more of a realistic vibe than the game and old movies. I've already said my prayers to the movie gods (which would probably be Michael Bay and James Camron
) that they put this out.
I'm 25 and would not be ashamed one bit to go see a MK film at the theatre. Especially if its anything like Dark Knight. I remember the exact moment I saw the trailer for the first MK film...I was 11, and at the movies seeing "A Goofy Movie" with my best friend. I think we both yelled at the screen, then at each other when we realized there was a MK movie coming out. Used to dominate that shiz on the Sega Genesis.
