But if you think about it, there seems to be a lot of movies that are being made that bring our generation (20 - 30ish years old) back to the good old days. GI Joe, Transformers, Where the Wild Things are, and so on. This would be targeted at our age group. The people who grew up playing this when we were skipping school.

awesome,i want a rated-R version,not some weak played down pg-13,i want gore, nudity,and language.things that make everything awesome.i mean come on that trailer was pushing the pg13 boundaries with the blood and cannibalism, i mean hell even the trailer had nudity in it

I saw this trailer last week. Too bad none of the characters look the same as the original game.

the trailer didnt seem to play into the mortal kombat story the way i know it. I know they cant keep it 100% but it just doesnt look like a Mortal Kombat movie to me....looks like a detective movie with mortal kombat characters in it....i could be wrong and i hope i am but i doubt it...

 

i hope they do get the outfits tho..like scorpion and subzero...its just weird seeing scorpion with hair. still tho this looks good.

 

yea im pretty sure they are going to wear their outfits.
i mean they looked like ninjas...so prolly the mask along being dressed up as the usual bad ___ assassin would be tight. would be hard.
and its Mortal Kombat Rebirth.

...the detective is provoking Scorpion to enter a death tournament and make sure that no one survives. The only detective work would be found in the beginning, the rest, I would assume is kick a$$!!
