man....I'm so jealous....I'm glad you were able to get this in so fast! It was killing me sitting there in my living room for so long. How's it running???? It look amazing, and the wrap on the exh. mani. look much better than the rust...haha.

Nice BCP. Definitley get soem numbers and psot those. Nice looking turbo too.

 

You're going to crack your turbo's casing or manifold over time. Heat wrap causes headers to crack and warp, and they develop far less heat than a turbo does. The fact that you can touch it is very bad, meaning very little heat is escaping. People with 1.8Ts are always asking about Turbo Blankets from Titan Motorsports, and they're always convinced to skip it.

I personally would take it off asap.

But nice setup regardless!

It's running really really well! Feels very strong. I was quite surprised as to how fast it'll reach full boost....makes it feel like the tires are made of ice! The install went pretty good. But 6-8 hours? MY A$$!! Maybe with two or three people with moderate mechanical skills. It took me two full, hard days. Most of the time was spent on three issues: 1) The bolt behind the alternator....holy crap. 2) Making the hole for the return line on the oil pan.....They don't TELL you in the instructions that there's only like 10 inches of clearance under there....OOF! (BTW, opted for JB Weld in lieu of silicone.) 3) Mounting the gauges and routing the wires....need I say more?

Oh yes, 3/8 NPT taps are NOT easy to find!! LOL.....nor is a 3/8 NPT to 5/8 hose fitting.

I've gotten mixed views on the wrap, but it keeps the temps under the hood down a good bit. I don't want to ruin my cf hood!

What a difference a turbocharger makes! YEEHAAAA!!!

Right now, I've got Tien S-Techs installed......but I'm really concidering going with a full coilover setup with a good set of swaybars.
