Default new to scion...

My '00 integra type R was just murdered by a SUV.

insurance is hooking me up and was thinking about the new red limited tc.
just a few questions:

should i go with the new limited or get a base model and upgrade it myself?
will adding Tein coil-overs void any warrantys?
will itR/reccaro seats fit on the tc stock seat rails?
anyone making carbon-fiber hoods for the tc?

thanks guys, any help is appreciated.

if u like the red then go for it otherwise just get a base and build yourself up. Any mod voids your warrantee if they can prove that ur mod was the reason causing your problems.

If you like the red then definately get the release series, otherwise choose your favorite color and go from there with customized options. Have fun and enjoy the new ride if you join the scion crowd.

The RSX-S is a much better car than the tC but it is also 7k more. I would go with the RSX-S if you have the money. Like everyone else has said only get the red scion if you really like red.

if you're set on a tc then get a base one and spend the rest on mods if insurance doesnt shell out the whole mile.

or if you're set on a red color and some overpriced goodies from scion, go with a RS.

the rsx is an abomination compared to what the previous integra was imho. its uglier and heavier.

The RSX-S is actually a really good car. The interior is really nice and I dont think there is another NA 4cyl that responds so well to mods.

Mods dont "void" your warranty...they just wont REPAIR a problem due to a mod, under warranty...but your warranty is tsill good.

hold up.............wheres the tC pride at my god!

to answer your questions, i personally wouldnt go for the rs1 tC only cause nothing on it is "functional" as far as performance. the rims are the only thing imo that are worth it. Id go with a basic tC will all the TRD suspension, clucth and short throw and some of the goodies with the car.

check out

and a bunch others out there.

Depends if you like the red color or not. I'd go for it though.

Yes.

will itR/reccaro seats fit on the tc stock seat rails?

Not sure, but my guess is no. You'll probably need some custom brackets.

anyone making carbon-fiber hoods for the tc?

FiberFX has the best hoods in town. Contact FLuXmr2spyder on here, or on AIM and tell him Henry sent ya.

The RSX is a nice car, but for the price you can supercharge your your tc and have some money left over. As for the interior of the RSX it has no middle compartment. No where to rest your arm. Iam happy with my tC. Its all about what you can afford. If you want an RSX get one. I really want a STi but its a little too much. The tC isnt the fastest thing out there but it holds it's own. And really you can't beat the price of the tC.
