Default New TC in MD

Picked up a white 2010 about 3 weeks ago now. Swaped out the shifter and **** but need to get a different ****. Posted a thread asking questions about that in the interior section.

Plan on ordering a set of TRD springs on Friday. Thought about S-tech but think it will be too low for my driveway. Got one of those funcky asphalt, to concrete, back to asphalt situations going on there.

Nothing else done other than the stubby antena thus far. The goal is suspension upgrades and eventually a set of 17x8's with some 245 under it. Maybe some simple bolt on over the next year. NO FI for me on this car. I have had a couple Suby's and would have gone back if I was not paying for daughters soccer, braces, the wife, the house, the other two girls (daughters)... Just want something that handles well and is a hoot to drive. Power is fun but it is frickn addictive! Hence the screen name of Mod-Bug.

I would recommend getting the TRD axleback and the TRD intake so you can at least hear the car. It's waaay too quiet from the factory and I know how strict emissions and exhaust laws are in MD. Lived there for 14 years. Both of those mods are 100% legal. Enjoy your TC!

Eventually there will be something on the car. I will probably stick with the tried and True HKS hi power axle back, Megan piping and maybe a Weapon R header. But all that is down the road. Probably going to do a ghetto intake set up like Dr. Iso has instead and just run a drop in KN.

Been in MD for a while myself. I have run a couple of Suby's with full Turbo XS exhausts on them. Catless for a while but was too paranoid about shooting a fireball out the back in front of a cop. Way louder than what I have now. But the car is new and I have to slowly slide back to the dark side so the wife doesn't kirk out too much. All in due time my friend.

The newer emissions testing isn't so bad. Even with my Suby that had a GTR35 on it had no problems passing the test with a full TXS exhaust on it. Basically, they just plug into the OBDII and look for codes. Passed every time. Thanks to the Cobb AP I was running. Stand alone setups is a different story though and they will nail you for that since the OBDII port becomes useless at that point.

Welcome to the boards. I'm in Southern MD so not too sure what all is around MoCo. There is a group of us in the Scikotics club that met at Capitol raceway on Friday's last year, I thinki they're trying to get it going again.

I'm keeping an updated schedule of events in the mid-Atlantic thread under the stickies. The first big one for me is the College Park meet on May 2. Where did you get your tC? Mo had a nice orange and black one and works at the Rockville dealership, though his got totaled a few weeks ago.

I got mine at Lake Forest Fitzgerald. I looked at the same car on the Rockville site and it was almost $1000 more and I didn't feel like having to haggle. I really wanted the dark gray color but settled for white for the price and the fact that it came with the lip spoiler on it at no additional charge. Ended up paying $17,210 for a 2010. I can't complain other than the screw up with the floor mats that I ended up paying for out of pocket. I swear they always get you some how.

I might be able to make the 5/2 meet at CP. Hopefully the car will be lower by then!
