New tint problems
So i got my car tinted finally last week, waited 3 days and today went ahead and cycled the windows. First the passenger side was so tight the tension safety thing kicked in and put it back up and the drivers side was extremely slow. Upon closer inspection i noticed the weather stripping on the inside was upside down, so i grabbed a pen and flipped it back out but they both still rub and leave marks on the tint after i clean them, i also noticed that i have 2 vertical scratches now aswell.
Should i take this back and ask them to fix it? I'm cleaning the car tomorrow inside and out and going to try some things i'v read on here from the invisible glass to pledging the tint to lubricate it.

I just had mine tinted as well. The stripping was turned down as well. It is supposed to be done that way. I took a pen and fix it as well. While there are no scratches on the tint, it does sometimes make a squeking sound when I roll the window up.
Take it back for sure. My dad owns a tinting business here in Delaware so I'm like the tinting queen. Hah. They actually have to take your door panel completely off in order to put the tint on correctly without it peeling off when you roll down the window, and sometimes they have to take the weather strip out and they probably just forget to put it back in correctly. So to any future window tinters, check them before you leave. You really can roll your windows down the day they are tinted, they just use it as a precaution to make sure it’s securely on the window. But you didn't hear that from me.
I'm a beginner with the car (learning a lot from reading these forums though) and I know this is a silly question
but, how do you know (without taking off the door panels) that the weather stripping is upside down?
I'm thinking of getting tinting put on in the next few weeks on my car and I want to make sure its done properly

I had the same problem. But, I was told that before I roll my windows down for the first time after waiting 3-5 days to spray soapy water on the tint to make it slide easier the first time. After that you should be fine.
But it just so happened that I had to get on the toll rodd and I rolled them down without the soapy water. First it got stuck and wouldn't come up. Then it went halfway up and had to pull it up with my hands cuz the weather stripping formed a vacuum and would pull the window back down.
Now I got 2 hairline scratches on my tint on the driver side. I only blame myself tho for not following instructions.
