Default NEWBIE QUESTIONS

Hey this is dumb, but i just want confirmation. You have to be in gear to use cruise control right? I have a 5speed, and i was wondering if i'm cruising at 60, does it have to be in gear? ahah please don't flame me for that question. also does anyone else notice that the engine is very loud for a new car? i dunno maybe its just me

No, the car doesn't need to be in gear. You can start the car with it out of gear and set the cruise...just use the Increase/Decrease buttons to adjust your speed. I don't even know why they put a gas pedal in the car, I've never used mine.

I put my car in reverse and the cruise control works even better if I'm going 60.

your flux capacitor fluid must be low if you can't get up to speed on cruise control w/o being in gear. also check your blinker fluid as sometimes it causes a misread in the ecu when its too low.

Don't just check your blinker fluid, but also your muffler bearings and Jupiter Rings. Very important.

And I'm confused - is this newbie to the boards, cruise control, or cars in general?

dude, 1.21 gigawatts of electricity and you can get that flux capacitor to work properly. just make sure you're doing 88mph

Get ur car to 45mph, push the clutch in throw it in neutral and put cruise control. Watch what happens, you will cruise at 0 rpm and save gas. NOT

wait i'm confused? I always though that if you were on cruise, and u depress the clutch pedal and take it out of gear, the ecu will override the cruise mechanism and the car will coast until it stops?
