Default nEWBIE qUESTIONS fOR TC???

Ok, Soon i will be ordering my TC and i need a few things to decide on.
Here is what i am going to get; the carpeted mats, upgrade on speakers 100 watts (curious if anyone else has done this and if it was worth it!!), blue lighting inside, the new design spoiler, obx petals, TRD leather shifter.
Here is what i need help with!! Since i have never done the whole lower thing i dont know how it works. Like with maintenance, aligment issues...etc. I would like to go with the TRD Springs from Scion but was curious if i have to get the suspension changed as well and the shocks too. What is good? I am not looking the slam the car just want it lowered for a nice look and not give up the smooth ride. Plus having it warranted from Scion is good too. Does Scion just lower one standard way or can i specifiy the inches in front and back? Also what does the sway bar help?? Please give any opinions, comments or pictures you have, i appreciate any help. Also i think im gonna go with Silver Streak Mica but the Flint Mica has caught my eye recently. Anyway sorry about so many questions i just want to make a good decision. Thanks Jason

So many of the options listed are available aftermarket with easy installation at a fraction of the cost.

Save yourself a chunk of change and get the floormats, lighting, shift ****, OBX pedels, and maybe system upgrade aftermarket. Still the same quality stuff, but discounted to you since you'll have the pride and joy of putting it in yoursel.
Hint: Get the lighting kit from Randode on this site for a kit specifically designed for your car.

I've never heard of the speaker upgrade besides the subwoofer.

I'll let someone else chime in with your lowering answer. I'm not sure if dealer install would be better there.

Well i figure that the obx pedals and the floor mats i will get else where but i am not so sure on the shifter and the lighting on doin it myself...im not so skilled with that stuff !!! About the system i figured that the poineer in the the car with an extra 100 watt amp would be really good but i need to hear for someone who has do that and if it is worth it.

Definitely get the Cold Cathode kit from Randode, it's only $100, brighter and tons easier to install. Alot of people have installed it in less than an hour even newb's.

Personally I love the Scion floormats, I haven't had any wear problems others have talked about, but then again I got them free when I bought the maintenance plan from my dealer (unlimited oil changes, baby). Just installed the OBX Speedstar Mesh **** and love it (bought with $50 Scion gift card at McGeorge's, they rock).

Everyone can agree that for starters; the springs, shocks and antisway bars are essential and dramatically increase handling and unless you're into serious autocross, the TRD set is sufficient. Hope this helps.

Sway bars help with chasis stiffness, since the shocks and springs attach inside the wheel well (which is part of the chasis), all the force and energey from bumps and cornering gets transfered to the chasis. The sway bar attaches to the wheel well from the engine bay, and absorbs more of the energy, which reduces strain on the chasis, however, it makes the car more stiff, so dont get one unless you intend to increase horsepower-in that case it helps the car handle better
