Default No student discount if paying up front?

Yo, so my dealer told me today that i'm not entitled the $400 back on the car because i'm paying "cash" (wire transfer all at once). He says that they only give that if you have a) perfect credit, b) just graduated and c) are financing the car.

anyone else have any input? any dealers have anything to say?

According to the Scion.com site this is a *financing rebate* so if you don't finance through

Where on Scion.com did you find this? I'm not denying you found it on Scion.com, just curious where. I just called my dealer and asked him about it and he said the 400 back is only for toyota models...NOT scion..yet in that text you pasted there, it clearly states that it is for a Scion.

You prolly talked to a salseman that does both Toyota and Scion so they usually mix things up. You don't need perfect credit just no adverse credit, so even someone with ghost credit would qualify. and yes you gotta finance through TFS, they gotta make some money back, the mark up on Scions is very small.

I wonder if there is a restriction on how soon you can pay off the loan if you get the rebate.

nope, nerver any penalty for paying off early, its a simple intest loan, you only pay intrest on the amount of time the loan occurs it.

I love how they expect recent college grads to have perfect credit.

Thats true, but you also have to have no adverse credit, and they will also delay the first payment 90 days
