OBX Shiftknobs
I have an OBX shift knodb fo my auto Trans, and the cap which is a chromed plastic secured by 5 allen screws, is chipping. Does anyone know where I could get just a new cap? I've tried Toyota, but they are no help, and the obx website doesn't have any inof that i can see. I've also thought about sanding it down and painting it , but not sure yet. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know.
lol, shifters are a wear and tear item that have more to do with time and mileage, since it deteriorates do to the extreme heat and cold of the interior of the car, and the hands of the driver.
i had the obx classic leather shift **** for a while, and after about two years, the leather started to peel and stretch away. so i got a trd brushed aluminum shift **** instead.
anyway, no, you can't just buy that center cap part unless somebody is who has one might sell you their cap or whatever.

Thanks, mine has about 33,000 miles on it over three years..lol So basically I would just have to buy a new one and take this one off.. Are there any cool shift ***** for automatics out there? Can someone post links? Since i have to get a new one, it might as well be different..lol

Here's one from Sparco

Project Mu

They don't specifiy if for automatic or manual only though-- but there are some on here that do say for Manual Transmission, so I would assume they'd put that on other shift ***** if it were the case... then again not good to assume hehehe
You can check on Optomize Scion
