Default Official Corporate Position on EMX Super 7 18" Alloy Wh

Since there have been differing opinions on whether you should get the OE 17" rims and tires when you purchase the 18" wheels, I decided to email Scion and ask what its position is:

Thank you for contacting Scion.

It is through communications such as yours that we become aware of the reactions and expectations of our customers and we appreciate your inquiry. The 18" wheels are listed as an upgrade, thus the upgrade price is listed. In order to receive the wheels at that price, you have to trade in your existing wheels, therefore you will not be able to retain both sets of wheels and tires. We hope this clears up any confusion.

Please feel free to contact us should you have any further questions or comments. We would be happy to assist you. You may contact us directly at 1-866-70-SCION or by email at https://secure.scion.com/scion/ssl/c...contactForm.do

Thank you for your interest in Scion.

Totally. And why if it's an "upgrade" price is there now standard wheel/tire package for the 18s? It's up to the dealer to buy the tires and they could be anything. And can the tC be ordered with the 18s? I think they're only installed by the dealer.

The plot thickens. Received a call today from a representative of the Scion
dealership where I purchased my tC and he said that I can pick up the
original rims and tires. Anyone who upgraded from OE 17" to 18" rims and
tires, should run to the dealership to claim their tires. Get while the
getting is good! In will keep you posted.

My sales rep said that if I wanted the originals, all I would have to do is order them after the car comes in. I wouldn't have to wait long and I would get to keep both sets.
