I just hit 11,000 miles. I want to do an oil change but the dealer is closed, so i cant get the filter from them. Should it be alright if i just get one from autozone? And should i switch to synthetic oil? Any steps i should take b4 switching?

just because you want to do an oil change.. have patience and wait a day.. autozone having good parts? that's hilarious for me.. wait a day and get the right oil filter from the dealer. cuz if you buy a cheapy oil filter and bam the engine gets destroyed, can't really go complaining to Scion about it. one day won't kill ya, just relax
as far as synthetic.. ya you're safe to switch now..

also the tC has three FREE oil changes from the dealer.. have you used them all? if not, use that.. also.. the tC requires a crushable washer on the oil drain plug..
