Is just that when I had an auto, i feel that it changes gear too soon. What if you want to rev the engine a little higher? Sometime i feel that I can still feel alot of torque and the car switched gear. Off course this is what you want for regular driving but if I want to compare it to a manual I think you will lose more than 5-8% unless you manually change your gear with your auto which is not recommended.

first things first done say your investing your money in your car lol you might as well ____ on it and thow it on cars that drive by would be just as mutch of an "investment" lol but if you want to mod an auto i would say you do a turbo like scion dad (im about 90% sure he has an auto well his daughter does) als there are a couple of other ppl here that have turbo autos i think but dont try and go n/a on it becouse i have raced autos with alot more done than i have and they cant keep up at all its if youw want the stuff for noise then I/H//E but if you want it for performance out of your auto then trubo it

You're kidding right? An automatic supercharged tC is clearly faster than a stock manual tC. But, they are not in the same class. Forced induction gains can clearly make up for the transmission. We aren't talking about a supercharged auto vs. a supercharged manual. With the auto having forced induction it would spank a stock manual.

People who would generally supercharge the tC would not opt for an automatic transmission, however, the automatic supercharged tC still dynos at around 200 hp. (Remember, they make automatic M3s as well even though we wouldn't buy one).

You can go to the tC "power hungry" forum and do a bit of research.

This is one of the most retarded threads I have seen on this forum.

The answer is simple; if you are prepaired to modify your car heavily and put a turbo on it, get an auto. Once you mod that tranny a little bit with stronger parts, tune shift points, and get an appropriate stall torque converter, you will spank manuals which have slightly more power output easily. If you are just a kid whos mommy bought him an auto, you are screwed. There is a reason why most hogh performing 1/4 mile cars have autos in them.

this guy... ... most high performing cars that run an auto are not considered tC's. these cars that you are talking about run in upwards of six hundred power, where shifting manually is just not an option, but judging by the comments you made i wouldnt have expected you to. now to move on with the car. i to have an automatic, and i will tell you what i am going to be doing... mind you that i am a poor college student, so mods sort of follow.
here is what i have done:
-18 inch rims and tires
-TYC taillights
-OEM lip spoiler
-OEM foglights
-S2K antenna
-RSX shift ****,
this is what should be done... in order by september of 06sorry for the list)
-Greddy air diversion panel
-injen cold air intake
-alphwerks headers
-TRD struts
-tein h-tech springs
-M power front end, magis skirts, and drift rear bumper
-hotchkis sway bars
-dc sports strut bar
-ZPI s pipe and mid pipe
-greddy evo 2 axle back
-then for the interior... i wont really go into that, but just for some color, red and black wet okole seat covers....
hope this helps

If I was a fan of running in canyons, I'd buy an sti or mr. As far as high powered manual cars running 1/4, there are plenty of them out there. They are simply not as consistent and they would most likely do better with an auto. What do I know about high powered auto cars though

As I said, you want to play with manuals, tune your tranny when you are adding turbo / moded supercharger. If you just want to add H/I/E, you will probably run only as fast as completely stock manual tC. What a waste of cash. Mod the looks and leave performance till you can afford it.

I'll be happy with a TRD supercharger, maybe some rims when I destroy mine, probably an exhaust setup, and finishing my suspension setup.

You have a brand new car. Try to keep it off the telephone poles and you'll be fine.

It's not as if girls are all that interested in what kind of car you drive anyway.

And if they are--time to find some new girls.
