The tow-hook slits I'll probably find some sort of plastic and get some FM spray paint, cut it to fit and paste it on the bumper foam to keep it in place, It'd be way harder to bondo and paint to match the whole bumpers than to just fill the slits with plastic which will be 98% as good anyway.
arent the the holes in the bumper to close together to do that? The tow hook cirlces are larger so they will prob overlap?

The holes are smaller than you think, I was going to cut or hole-saw them to the exact size of each hole that was made.

Seems really easy in my head, maybe when it comes down to it I'll change my mind and just put a big sticker over it.

Got the harnesses and mounting brackets for stuff all figured out, thanks to Speedware Motorsports over here, they made some custom brackets for my application.

I do intend to take a copious amount of pics for you.

I'm not thrilled with the mounting mechanism for the harnesses atm on the bar itself but drilling into the bar to mount eye bolts would be super dumb.. that'd really ruin the integrity of the bar, so I'll have to figure something else out, maybe welding a stop so the clips won't move from the edges.

@Optional

We at Speedware Motorsports would recommend that you change the way you are mounting these shoulder belts. The guide hoop on those harness bars is designed to keep the harnesses from spreading, and is not a structural member. In any sort of impact, the weight on a person will rip that bar right off. You should look at wrapping the harnesses around the bar as per the belt manufacturers recommendation, or possibly have a mounting ring stitched around the bar to clip the harnesses to. If you have any questions about harness mounting technique and safety, please reference - http://www.schrothracing.com/docs/Sc..._Checklist.pdf

Hey Drew!

Yeah I'm in the process of figuring that out, the stitched mounting clip would be my preferred option, the guys in the shop who made the brackets for me recommended the same thing.

Any products you know of that fit that bill or do you guys sell it, or should I just look into a seamstress making something up?

I know this isn't th correct way to mount clip harnesses and want them done correctly while not having to modify the georgeous Takatas in any way, seeing as they're FIA certified till 2013, I'd like to keep it that way.

PM me with recommendations please!

I know. I run lap belts that are done correctly, that's a least better than a faulty 4-point until I have this sorted out.

I reccomend reinstalling your factory seat belt ASAP. And using those harnesses they way you told me you were going to use them. SHOW ONLY.

Factory Seat Belts and Harnesses and bar can all be installed at the same time. Look Allen's car for example.

Takata products are cool in all, but the bottom line is you bought the wrong harness for the job, and attached them to a harness bar that wasn't designed for that vehicle.

We don't recommend this as a functional setup.

The seat belt swapwas not expected by me at the time we spoke about the bar.

It is supposed to be for show only, I have factory belts coming and I drive another car until this is all fixed.

I appreciate your concern and expertise on the matter and would appreciate also any better insight on making them correctly functional (not as seat belts but for the purpose of being a good example for show).

If you have any ideas please PM me some ideas, I'd rather not clutter up my picture thread with this, thanks!

The bar and harness I am using are very rigid and safe! I would recommend wrapping the harnesses rather than risking life.

I'm just ordering stock belts and swapping cars with my mom until they're here for me to install or find a correct way to mount the upper belts to the bar either by wrapping them and modifying the harnesses or with a wrapped part with a way to clip the harnesses to them so I don't have to mod them.

Currently at work, so I'll watch that and look over my situation again when I get home after 5:30.

Thanks for the link/video though, I hadn't had time to look it up for myself yet but intended to.

I would grind off those loops and drill in the bar for the eyelets

or

sell the harnesses and get some Schroth/ Sparco/ Corbeau 4-points.

If you get new harnesses I can roll them for you. You know I got your back on this.

Guys at Speedware said I couldn't drill into the bar.
